FISCHER Newsletter
Always up to date and personally committed
welcome to this year's first edition of the FISCHER-Newsletter. This time, we have a number of new products that we would like to introduce to you on this occasion. Learn more about:
- DE23 – The differential pressure transmitter is suitable for smallest measuring ranges.
Apart from the 1-channel transmitter version the device is now available in 2-channel execution also.
- DE39 – Menu functions and application areas for digital differential pressure transmitter
with LC colour change have been expanded.
Apart from this news we have written an interesting article about the subject Industry 4.0.
Please send us your questions or wishes concerning our product innovation to newsletter@fischermesstechnik.de.
We hope you enjoy reading this online newsletter.

DE39 - Digital differential pressure transmitter with LCD
The DE39 differential pressure transmitter is fitted with two ceramic pressure sensors. The controller of the device compares the two pressure signals and thereof establishes the difference. This value can be displayed directly or converted (square-rooting or correction table) and shown at the analogue output.
In addition, the user is free to reproduce the pressure of sensor 1 or sensor 2 via the existing second analogue output. Thanks to the new extended firmware the device is now in the position to demonstrate the two individual values via the analogue outputs instead of the differential pressure. The user may set up the display to select pressure 1 or pressure 2 being indicated permanently. By just pressing the key the respectively other pressure value is shown then as long as the key is pressed.
As an option, displaying both pressure values alternately in a set interval is also possible, making the device excellently suitable for not just recording differential pressure but also for monitoring operating pressure and measuring minus points.
The device is applicable for explosive areas of zones 22 (dusts) and 2 (gases and vapours).
For further information please refer to the DE39_LCD product page.
DE23 - Differential pressure transmitter in 2-channel execution
For room pressure monitoring (e.g. in clean rooms) FISCHER amongst others offers the DE23 and DE46 series. The DE46 is fitted with an LC colour change display with adjustable parameters. As an option, the device is available with switch function.
In contrast, the DE23 was consciously designed as a pure transmitter in the field without different features. This concept has now been extended by the 2-channel version, enabling recording two measuring points. Sensor extension provides assembly and handling advantages.
Apart from the unidirectional and larger measuring ranges (e.g. 0 ... +100 Pa or -100 ... +100 Pa) both series - DE23 and DE46 – are specifically available with a bidirectional basic range from -20 ... +80 Pa, enabling a safe detection of reverse flow.
For further information please refer to the DE23 product page.
Industry 4.0
FISCHER will intensify the successfully initiated cooperation with the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) of Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (University of Applied Sciences East Westphalia-Lippe). After the subject of radio-based communication of process sensors (FuSens) having taken the centre stage up to now, cooperation is now expanded to linking cloud systems (AnySens).
The transfer project contains smartphone and tablet-related application solutions for reading out and parameterizing sensors.
A further component part of the project is the implementation of a communication structure between sensors, mobile terminal devices and a central management with data memories. This shall enable access to real data of sensors in the field, reduce the time effort required for this and improve reliability of statements for life-cycle management – completely in the sense of Industry 4.0 (a government initiative to promote the computerization of manufacturing).
Together with different industrial companies throughout the nation the region East Westphalia-Lippe is responsibly committed to the subject INDUSTRY 4.0 via the top cluster “it’s owl“ throughout the nation.
